About Husick’s

The original Husick’s Hardware building was built in the late 1800’s.  It became a general store for years, housing the post office, butcher and grocery store.  It was then transformed into the hardware store, later to close and sit vacant for approximately 20 years.  In 2007, Zina & Dennis Sheya re-furbished the building and  re-opened it  in November 2007, keeping the original name -- Husick’s Country Store--.    Zina, an interior designer, continually adds baby steps and fun improvments to both the service and building.  The store which was opened solely as a wine merchant, providing a place for local wineries to sell and showcase their wine keeps evolving.  In July 2008, the deli was added with a mission to provide a local gathering place for the community and visitors alike.  In 2009,  Husick’s has expanded service to outside catering of weddings and special events.  In 2010,  Husick’s continues to expand catering services of local offerings.   Our Mission is to provide farm fresh, slow-cooked food to the community members and visitors, supporting the farmers and wine growers along the way.
