During the month of March, HUSICK’S COUNTRY STORE will host four FREE wine tastings on Saturdays from 12 noon
to 4 p.m.
Ehrhardt Estates Winery will pour its 2004 Chenin Blanc and 2006 Old Vine Merlot.
The Chenin Blanc has a flavor of crisp pears and luscious melons. The Old Vine Merlot
is a big bold wine aged in American Oak for 10 months. The vines are 40 years old.
On Saturday March 14,
David Wilson, third generation owner of Wilson Vineyards, will pour several award winning wines.
He invites Husick’s Country Store customers to taste his popular almond flavored Sparkling Wine.
Wilson wines are produced as a tribute to David’s father.
On Saturday March 21,
Tim Edwards, cellar master of River Grove Winery, will pour selected sparkling and still wines.
River Grove’s winemaking is traditional, and its wines are made in small batches. This process
fosters the wines’ unique aromas, flavors and character.
On Saturday March 28,
Alex McCormick, of Dancing Coyote Wines, will pour selected wines. Dancing Coyote is a family
run and owned and operated vineyard located in the Clarksburg appellation. Five generations have farm
land in the Delta region nurturing over 600 acres of wine grapes. The winery is noted for its Port, Brandy,
and award winning vinegar. Alex invites wine tasters to try CHA CHA – Along with many others.
